I've been successfully using a local installation of SQL Server Express for about 6 months. I recently changed my network/PC password and I've been unsuccessful in loging on to SQL since. I changed my password in SQL Server Configuration Manager, and it seems to start up OK. In the SQL Server Studio registered servers window my server is present with a green arrow. When I attempt to connect I'm getting this error: Error 26 Error Locating Server/Instance Specified. I'm using SQL Server Authentication. Does anybody have any suggestions?
