I have set up a sharepoint site and can view the site with no problem. However, I am unable to upload any files (pics, documents, etc.). I can create folders and modify web parts. I suspect that it is a security setting on my Windows 2003 Server but have been unable to figure it out. Can anyone provide some help?

Yes I do have Office 2003 installed on this machine.

Ok...I just created the sharepoint site and I am listed as the administrator. I can't even add docs or pics. I have no quota applied and it is a brand new server so I have to believe I have sufficient disk space. I have tried it from other clients, still with no success. I have been unable to add content through webfolders.

ok step 2 does the user in sharepoint have the right to add content (also check doc lib and pic lib rights!)?

Has the Application Pool account the apropriate rights in the database. In other words, this account must be a member of the Security Administrators, Process Administrators, and Database Creators roles in SQL Server.

Do you have quota's applied, is there sufficient disk space?

Have you tried it from a other client?

Can u add content trough webfolders?

Mabye this will give some idea's...!

All of the permissions are set up on SQL server properly. I am set up as the sharepoint admin so I should be able to add a file. I did not apply a quota and since I have yet to load a file I believe there is sufficient disk space.

I am unable to add through the webfolders.

Finally, when I try to add multiple files, I get the fill transfer dialog. It goes to completion yet the files are there when I go back to the folder.

Do you have autoring enabled?
Goto the settings and columns or something like that (i have the dutch version) then goto general settings an see if autoring is enabled (when its enabled documents don't show up untill approved)
