Hi. I'm trying to join a Windows 2000 machine to a domain, which seems to work fine until I try to log on. At that point I am presented with this message:

"The system cannot log you on to this domain because the system's computer account in its primary domain is missing or the password is incorrect."

I know the password is correct, I'm able to use this account on other computers. I already added the computer account to this domain. I tried a different name. No luck.

What else can I try?

Thank you.

Remove the computer account from the NT Domain using Server manager. From the workstation move join PC to a workgroup, reboot, re-add to the domain, reboot.

If that doesn't work, check the DNS and WINS configuration on the workstation.
