I'm trying to join PO_LineRollupTemp with PO_Line to get the location code field to print on a PO. If I open the PO_line table and the relationship button, no primary table is listed in the exisiting relationships, or to add a new one. So then I go back and open the PO_LineRollupTemp first. In relationships it shows up as the primary table but to add a join, PO_line doesn't show up as a choice. Any help would be appreciated.

I've tried this, and show the Location Code from PO_Line_Temp on my report but it prints blank on the PO.

I hope someone knows how, it would sure be nice.

I've been told that joining these tables will do the trick, then you use the location code from Po_line on the report. My problem is I can't seem to join the tables.

Ok this is how to do it. In Report Writer, click the Tables button from the main toolbar. It will open a window showing all the tables.

Select the table called popPOLineRollupTemp and click Open.
Click Relationships. If you don't see Purchase Order Line in the list, click New.

The Secondary Table Key = POP_POLineIdxID

Relationships fields will be:
PO Number
Ord
Break Field1

In doing this, I also discovered the reason my Location Code wasn't printing. I was using the field from PO Line Temp instead of PO Line.

Hope this helps!

The problem I'm still having is that when I view the relationships and click new and open the list of tables Purchase Order Line dosn't show up as a choice. Can you tell me exactly what its called on that list. I'm probably missing somthing very obvious.

When you click New, it opens the Table Relationship Definition window.

The Primary table showing should be Purchase Order Line Rollup Temp and to retrieve a Secondary table, click the elipses (...) and it will open a window called Relationship Table Lookup and will list every table including Purchase Order Line (that is what it is called).

Is there a way to show screen shots on here?

I know how to do this but that table name does not show up on the list when I push the elipses. "Purchase order line history" does as does "Purchase order Line Status Temp".

That is strange. Purchase Order Line on my list is right before Purchase Order Line History. Every table, every one is there in my list.

hmmm....
