I have a 866 Celeron System w/ 256 MB ram, 30 GB hard drive. It is a Socket 370 motherboard with Intel 810 Chipset. It has integrated AGP video w/ shared memory. I am trying to install a TNT2 M64 NVIDIA 32 MB PCI CARD. When I put it in the correct slot and plug my monitor into it, Nothing happens. I am wondering if there is a jumper setting on the motherboard I have to disable to make it work. That was the situation when I briefly used this same card on an e-machines system. ANY HELP???? Thanks-a-plenty from a gratefull fireman. firemcd@bellsouth.net

Hi
There should be a jumper on the mobo, failing that there must be some settings in the BIOS. It should say something like “disable onboard video”.

A lot of them don't have either one, so your only option is to disable the onboard video in all hardware profiles in device manager. Sometimes re-installing the new driver several times will do this. The onboard display adapter will always show up in device manager with a red "X", but your new card will work. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....." [morning]
