I am trying to locate the drivers for an HP Scanjet 6200C flatbed scanner if anyone knows where I can come across them. The HP website has the 6300C drivers available via a download but the 6200C has to be bought on disk. If anyone knows of an alternate source please let me know.

This machine had to be wiped and loaded and no one has any idea where the software is that came with the scanner. I tried to use the 6300C drivers but when I open HP Precision Scan Pro to try and scan a document it says Scanner could not be initialized...Scanner not found. I am not sure if it is that the HP drivers are not compatible with the 6200C or is something is up with the USB port.

Thanks,
Amanda

Howdy:

Did you happen to check in Device Manager and make sure USB was enabled and working??

I will double check the USB being enabled and working and see if that helps me any.

As far as the link posted above to the drivers. Under Windows 95, which is the OS on that machine, it has an Update, a Scanning Coach, and some other utility but not the full driver package. At least I don't think so when I tried to go to their site to get the full driver to load the scanner it said to order the CD.

I will see what I can find out and will post if I get to a solution. Thanks for the input if anyone has any additional ideas just let me know.

Thanks I downloaded the file from DriverGuide and I am going upstairs to give that a try now. I will post and let you know if it worked.

Thanks,
Amanda
