trouble installing AI 10 completely

Hi everyone, I need a HELP!!!!!

I have installed illustrator 10 to my computer (OS is windows XP pro) recently. I opened the program without any problem, but! I found some strange things in the program. For some reason, some major tools and others are missing! I uninstalled, and installed again.....resulted same problem. No line tools, no shape tools, no swatches....I am desparate!

Can anybody please help me? PLESE!!

Delete AIPREFS. Do a search for it in these forums if you don't know how.

oh, my god! it worked like a magic! As you have noted in the other thread, I have moved the file to desktop. I haven't tried to put it back where it was yet, but problem is solved for now.
