Hi again all,

I'm trying to phase out an old fax machine (DN 1335) and foward it to another machine on 1325 - but faxes are still going to 1335.

(Faxes to 1325 work great - that part hasn't changed.)

Maybe something to do with # rings? Or is it something else... Any help appreciated, many thanks in advance!

The easiest way is to out the orginal fax tn and build a phantom tn and point DFCW it to the new fax number. If you knew the flexible feature forward all calls code you could plug in a phone and hard forward it to the new number.

Hey there Wings, the Phantom idea is ingenious. I could wire it to the phone closet (I have 2 or 3 phantoms in there already, for MCR extensions.)

Any trick to finding the flexible feature forward all code?

Thanks! It is a great idea!

I would go another way, but then....

1: Out 1335
2: Create a GPHT with 1325 as the only member
3: Create 1335 as a PLDN, set the MQUE to an appropriate non 0 value.

What you achieve here is that you have 1 machine only, and if you get a call to 1335 when 1325 is busy, then the call waits (within reason) til 1325 is free. This effectively stops the calls to the wrong machine.

Even easier...

OUT the old fax machine's DN. In LD 23, build an ACD and use the old fax's DN as the ACDN and NCFW to the new fax's DN.

COOOOOL! I will try tomorrow!

thanks!

Well I ended up going with Nessman's solution - just because it seemed the simplest. Worked great and on the first try, thank you very much!!!!

Thanks everyone for your responses - they were all very much appreciated!

Regards,
x11dude!
