I have just finished a report in one computer where I use Fetch and Stored to pass some data between my main and subreport. But when I took the program to another computer that installation of Crystal doesn't have the Fetch*.* or Stored procedures, does anyone know what DLL is missing or what's wrong?

I don't know about a DLL, but check the versions of Crystal reports on the two machines. Are they the same?

According to the help file, shared variables are supposed to replace Fetch and Store, I think starting with Crystal 7. I don't know whether the functions are still included for backward compatibility or not.

Mary

Well actually they are the same version Crystal 7 I have it right know in 3 computers, I think it's in a dll U????.DLL but I don't know wich one. What I did was just copy all the dll files from windows\crystal directory to the computer where they are missing and it work.

I did it on one computer I did not do it on the other one because I want to pin point the file with the other one.
There are 2 DLLs for Store and Fetch. If you are using the 16 bit version of Crystal Reports you want UF5Store.DLL. If you are using the 32 bit version, you want U25Store.DLL.

I have used the 32 bit version with CR 7 and have found it to be inconsistent. In some reports it works great and in others it doesn't matter what I try, it won't work. I have used the Shared Variables feature that works great passing variable values from a subreport to the main report, but has difficulty passing the value from the main report to the subreport. That is a documented problem from Seagate.

Hope this helps.
