Trouble Establishing ODBC Link Tables

I am trying to create several linked tables from an ODBC data source. When I go to link up the tables, I get as far as where I can choose which tables I want to link, then when I press OK, it immediately gives me an "Invalid Argument" error message, and doesn't establish the links. The problem can't be the connection, because it makes it to the point of showing the list of tables every time. If it makes any difference, I am using the ODBC Driver for 4D Server driver, trying to link to a server database running on the 4D Server system.
