I am new to the Novell style of networking so ANY HELP would be appreciated.
--------------------------------------------------------------
The site I am working at has a DOS based Novell server that has not been upgraded for some time. We have recently upgraded form Win98 to WinXP Professional SP2. I am having trouble finding the server with the newer WinXP Pro machines (they are running Novell client 4.90).
--------------------------------------Please HELP me!-----

I dont know just how new you are to Novell (so no offense). When installing the client, did you choose IPX as the protocol rather than TCP?

As MarkhP suggests, a NetWare 4.11 server (which has nothing to do with DOS apart from a DOS partition that contains startup files by the way!) will only communicate via IPX and not via IP. If you have done a standard install of the NetWare Client, IPX support will not have been installed.

Try a custom install of the NetWare Client and make sure that IPX is chosen as the communications protocol. If you still encounter problems, try turning off the Windows firewall as well.
