Hi,
I am having issues trying to connect an Ip Office R7 to a new VMPro Server.
The previous server got crashed (without having any backup) so the new one has installed from scratch.
The ip addresses are the same as the previous server so Ip Office and VM Pro can see each other.
I installed the full VMPro application at the server (providing the Windows user/password as requested during the process) and I don't remember if I had to provide the administrator Ip Office user/password somewhere during the installation, but it wasn't requested.
As the VMPro is a new one without having a previous backup of the configuration it is all empty, so I created a new module, just with an audio and disconnect, and assigned a number in Incoming Call Route pointing to VM:ModuleName.
When I call to that number and I don't get the audio. Also I remember I could retrieve users/shortcodes from the Ip Office to the VMPro, and get it listed at the VMPro Client, but it is all empty.
So I assume both systems are not connected each other somehow.
I will appreciate any suggestion on this to get it connected.
Regards

Seems like you need to set the VM pro password in both IPO security settings and VM pro client (F9).

Thenks for the quick answer.
I don't remember what is was, so when I go to change the VMPro password at Security settings it ask me for the previous one, and doesn't allow me continue without type the previous.
Besides, according to the documentation it is recommended not to add a password in Ip Office and VMPro /preferences to avoid future problems.

Yep these are the problems it avoids
if the VM passsword has been set in IPO security settings & you cant change it the only option is to default the security settings & reconfigure them

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

teletechman, the SSA show the call and the Destination End Party as "Mailbox ModuleName" at the Active Calls section. At the VoiceMail section it shows the call with Service Type "Mailbox", Call State "Connected" and Name "ModuleName". But the call is giving just silence with no disconnection time.

IPGuru, I don't know it there is a password at Security for the VMPro, it is showing multiple asterisk, but it is not meaning there is one. What is the procedure to reset the security settings to default?

Thanks

Somehow the VMPro is knowing the incoming calls, at the logs is showing "Active message received at timestamp" with any call I am doing, but doesn't play anything.

What does the VM tab show, VM Pro or embedded? What you can do to check the connection is to put a pin code on the module start and see if the VM asks for it. This will tell you if the call flow is correct and reached. If you don't get asked for the PIN might be some thing with the call flow or ICR.

The VM is selected as VM Pro.
But when I make a call with the VM Pro as destination the VMPRO Client is showing Active Voicemail Sessions = 0 at the end of the page, so the call is not entering

Solved.
IPGuru was right. I reseted all the security settings and admin a new password for VMPro, and now are connected.
Thank you all for your help
