Trouble clearing 406v2 config via DTE

Hello everyone,

New member as of today, and of course, I am here because I got a problem! I am not a telepehone tech but do occasional add/move/changes support for a 406V1 and 403 systems for about seven years.

I have a 406V2 which is up and running, as far as I can plug in a couple 4412+ phones and call the extensions, but I have no password or knowledge of the IP address or anything else. Box is 406V2 PCS 09.

I got a tip that I should to a AT, AT-X2, and AT-X3 over DTR to reset the config.

However, while the AT command returns "OK", AT-X2 returns "ERROR"

Any tips for me? My goal is to load the latest v3.2 to match an existing system at a remote location.

OK I failed the test: I forgot to hit Esc as the instructions said....

I am going on to the next step now.

To clear it I would use:

AT
at-debug
erasenvconfig
eraseconfig
reboot

this will not wipe the software but everything else.
