Trouble binding a new tape drive 1

I have a new HP Ultrium 448 external drive and want to hook it to my NW 6.5 sp5 machine. I can acess the drive through the HP_LTT utility, but when I list devices Netware says that it's a Unbound Device object. I have the latest driver downloaded for this drive and Netware, but I'm confused on how to set it correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

That's probably normal, but what software are you using to do the backups. that's where you need to be looking.
