An XP Pro computer is having trouble applying the GPO and getting info from AD. When using the local admin account to add a domain group to local admin group, it prompts for domain credentials, then says RPC server not available. The RPC service is running and it can ping the domain controllers.
App logs have 1053, 1054, and 15 event ID that say it can't reach a server upon start-up, but network connectivity is there.
This computer used to be on a different domain and has been quirky ever since it's been moved.
I suggested wiping and reinstalling, but the user doesn't want to. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Is the server mentioned in the logs a Primary DC? Also, I would check and make sure the affected computer is listed in the correct groups in AD Users and Computers. Check to make sure other GPO's arent affecting the way it is reacting on startup, possibly a bad startup script?
