Trouble adding name to company directory

Howdie all, I'm trying to add a "Dial by First Name" name in the company directory. I researched the archives and tried all of your suggestions including deleting the mailbox, and re-adding it. Spelling the name out, and made sure "Y" is chosen for Company Directory.

We did the F981 and recorded the name in the directory too. For some reason, when you call our telephone number and type in the first name, it still doesn't find it.

Anymore suggestions? I keep locking us out trying too many times =(

are the names entered correctly? If you did it via the browser it is self explanatory where you enter the first and last name. But, if you do it via the phone it has to be Smith, John. You would also be able to confirm the name is correct when you access your mbx from a display phone. It should be last name first then comma then first.

Also, when you dial in. are you pressing pound and waiting for the system to say: using the dial pad, spell the persons FIRST name.

Also, have you checked the first name box in programming.

You may want to check out and ensure that the directory is set to 'first' and not the default of 'Last'.

Cathee, check in your browser setup under Configuration then System Properties, go down to Directory Search by and select both. This should be your answer.
