I created a scipt for a table. I then loaded it into my SQL Query Analyzer. I executed the command. I then ran a select Query on the table, It returned all the columns. When I switch to SQL Admin, and look at the list of Tables, the new table does not exist. In my script I included a Begin transaction and a commit at the end of the script. I also entered the columns in the Table design mode, and the same thing happened. I have closed and restarted SQL, and still no table. When I run a query against the table after restarting SQL, the table no longer exists. PLEASE HELP, I HAVE A DEADLINE TO MEET.

Thank You and I look forward to reading your thoughts.

I know this is going to sound silly, but have you tried to refresh you view. The same thing has happened to me I can't even tell you how many times.

HTH,

Mapman

Also in the dumb things I've done myself category, are you issuing a USE DATABASE command in your script? If not, are you sure you're creating it in the right database?

The Refresh idea was one I thought of as well, but if you've restarted the server, then that probably isn't it. Is your script small enough to post here?
Robert Bradley

<a href= - Visual FoxPro Development
Hey guys, thanks for the help, but I figured it out. In my script, I had a GO command follwed by a commit followed followed by my BEGIN TRANSACTION. When I deleted the GO and Commit keywords, the table executed, and the table appeared in my enterprise manager. I guess it was a SQL quirk.

Thaanks Again
Racketman
