HI guys

I have a avaya comm manager 3.1.2 solution coupled with a sopho with 6 qsig lines. We experience lots of tromboning calls, eq a call comes from the sopho, comes to the avaya and via udp gets routed back to the sopho and the the sopho routes it back again. In the end the sopho puts its trunks out of services due to errors on the DTU-PH boards. We looked everywhere but cant find a solution to this.
Any ideas ? Does the avaya has something like anti tromboning ?

Any help is gladly appriciated.

grtz

On the Avaya CM Route Pattern that you use to connect the 2 switches you should be able to use the Hop Limit entry to prevent the call from bouncing from switch to switch.

Hop Lmt:
Enter the number of hops for each preference. A hop is when a call tandems through a switch to another destination. Limiting the number of hops prevents circular hunting, which ties up trunk facilities without ever completing the call. DEFINITY ECS blocks a hop equal to or greater than the number you enter.
