Hello, I have a OPT 11 that supports 3 T1's programmed with various DID, DOD and Combo channels via 3 TMDI DTI/PRI Rel 12 cards.

Problem I am having is calls are getting disconnected and its both local, LD, incoming, outgoing and no rhyme nor reason to a source. No channel LCKO happening to support lack of disconnect supervision , No frame slipages or alarm indicators showing and the only solution is to remove the TMDI cards (3), reseat, reset and FDL them....this seems to resolve the issue for about a month or so depending on traffic and then the ghost starts to appear again. The OPT11 is supported through a DMS100 remote and all trunking and channels have been verified, tested and run error free outside the PBX.....any suggestions? I have also replaced ALL 3 TMDI cards.

Thanks

Ted

Are these PRI if so how are you set up?

When a T1 has different channel setups involved on the same T1 there is usually a channel bank involved - one more piece to puzzle.

i am having the EXACT same problem. We've been working with AT&T for over a month with no resolution. I get TRK136 alarms ALL DAY on all three inbound T1s and calls are being disconnected. Our channels DO go into lockout, but about two or three seconds later they go back to IDLE. Yours may be locking out too but you don't realize it because by the time you stat the T1 they've IDLEd themselves again. My counters are all at zero as well. AT&T swears it's PBX, PBX vendor swears it's AT&T. I am very interested in hearing how you solve this problem. Maybe your solution will work for me too (I have an Option 61C, 25.40). Are your T1s with AT&T as well? if not, then at least I can eliminate them as being the problem...please let me know. Thank you.

Coniglo - NO, the three T1's I am dealing with are within Bell Canada network and I actually work hand in hand with the individuals in the Toll test center here. The counters are set to zero at midnight thru routine but a print all history shows the alarms and subsequent LCKO of channels within Loops. This has been an ongoing issue since conception (4yrs) and have had a Nortel engineer online to try and resolve. One issue we did do was disable ALL TMDI cards and remove from the switch and dowload the latest release of software into the switch and FDL the TMDI cards in the event that there was corrupt data within the switch...alas the problems are still there!

hello amigos
as i can see, all of you have the same problem that i had in Mexico with Telmex witch is my central Office let me tell you that them fix the problem. so all you may insist with yours CO

hi EdwardMcInnes, one of my vendors downloaded a bunch of patches and I haven't had any more TRK136 alarms. I asked him for the particular patches but he didn't know what they were. This is what he sent me:
Not sure about the particulars -- all I can tell you is that we downloaded the entire North American MDCS diskettes which should have been completed after the upgrade last year. They come with new system installations and upgrades. This person should have the diskettes they need.

I hope this helps you Edward. Good luck!
