Tririga Facilities Center - A question about RAS

A fellow developer is installing the reporting component of Tririga Facilities Center, which uses Crystal RAS. Tririga is installed on server X while CE10 Professional is installed on server Y. Tririga reports are called with a URL, apparently using a protocol of rassdk://.

I say apparently, because my colleague says he does not see the URL itself. This is what he sent me from his location:

Code:
HTTP ERROR: 500 Internal Server Error
RequestURI=/html/en/default/crystalreports/CrystalProcessServlet.srv

Do any RAS experts out there have any thoughts on what may be the problem or have any troubleshooting suggestions?

The vendor won't provide RAS support because we didn't purchase the Crystal license through them. We do have support with CE, but I have to go through their hoops to get Mark on the contract first. I thought I might as well ask here as well.

I'm not a RAS expert, but here are a few suggestions FWIW.

The 500 error is coming from the web server - What web server is being used? I'm guessing it's a Java web application server (Tomcat/Websphere/Weblogic) rather than IIS/Apache, due to the Servlet reference.
I would check the application logs for more information, as it is probably a bug in the servlet code (again assumption).

The rassdk: is a URI reference to the report object to be streamed to the viewer, it will be constructed inside the servlet code (so no URL to see) but the error logs for the application should narrow down the problem.

A -trace log on the RAS server may also highlight a problem, but I think it's more likely to be in the servlet itself - Did it ever work? do any reports work?

Thanks for the help.

We have gotten this much farther: The vendor uses the RAS in CE Embedded, which is not compatible with the RAS in CE Professional. So we apparently need two _DIFFERENT EDITIONS_ of the _SAME VERSION_ of the product!

So much for an "enterprise" product.
