I am currently upgrading from a sx-2000 microlight to a 3300 mxe. i need to use the internal dsu and internal peripheral cabinet so they will become external to the 3300. does anybody know where i can find more information on using the triple fim card and the physical fibre connections for it. Does anybody know the programming steps for the dsu and percab(internal microlight cab). Do i program them on the 3300 ?

according to the notes in the technicians handbook on upgrading from sx2000 micro-light, the triple fim card needs to go into the sx2000's main controller slot. the technician manual doesnt provide any more info on this. This probably means that the triple fim card can be used on the sx2000 microlight when upgrading using the 3300 for control.
Yes, it can. There is a Triple FIM card that installs in the MC slot on the 2k, and is connected via FIM's on the 3300ICP. It's been a while since I worked on this type of configuration, so I'm not able to really give you any useful information other than I've seen it work. 
New one for me but I agree with your interpretation.

The 3300 gets a dual FIM card 50001248

In Release 7.0 and up of the 3300 ICP, the Software Installer Tool is used to migrate the SX-2000 database. You still use the 3300 ICP Configuration Tool to backup the SX-2000 database. The Software Installer Tool is then used to restore the SX-2000 database file to the 3300 ICP.
For further information, please refer to the Software Installer Tool help files in SI tool release 7.0.1.5 of the 3300 ICP Release 7.0.9.5.
