Hi, I have a picture of tubular objects (w/ thick black borders on shape) that have jagged edges, due to an increase of resolution.

I don't mind the resolution, but I do mind the jagged edges. Is there a tool where I could cut the jagged edges and make it straight? I was thinking of something like creating a curve that surround the shape and then cut what's out of that border.

The image is in default resolution of 72pixel/inch in 1024x1024.

Any suggestion on how I might approach this problem? Thanks in advance.

You could use the magic wand to select the object, then right click on the selection and choose "Feather". Specify a few pixels in the feather option and cut the selection. It should cut just inside the selection offset by the feather option and result in a smoother edge.

Ahh, that seems to help a lot! Thanks for the help!

The most accurate way I can think of is to use the pen tool and create a clipping mask around the object...send us a link so we can see the before and after!!sd
