Is there any difference between Trim marks and Crop marks?
How do I know when should I use one or the other?

As far as I am aware, trim marks and crop marks mean the same thing i.e. where the paper is to be cut (or 'trimmed' or 'cropped') after printing.

If you create Crop Marks on your page and then for example do a 'save for web' only the area within the Crop Marks will be exported. Same for making a Tiff or PSD or whatever. Trim Marks simply print on the page.
