Hi All,
I would be grateful if someone could tell me if there is a way to call an exe from a trigger. I want an external action to be performed when a record is inserted.

Not .exe, but .dll. Read about EXTERNAL PROCEDURES.

Hi Steve,
What did you ever do to run an exe from Oracle. Have the same need on an 8.05 server. Is the dll EXTERNAL PROCEDURES option viable ? Thanks, Steve.
