I am troubleshooting a web site and need to know when data is written to a database. The code was written by by someone else (Learning Extension in Dreamweaver), and is quite complex. I need to know when the value of one of the fields has been written to. I am using a Microsoft Access 97
data base. I would like for a message box to pop up the instant data is written to the database. I'm sure for most of you out there this would be a simple task, however I am not familiar enough with it to be proficient. Also , I need to know how to get the pop up message to appear in the web page.

you cannot use the msgbox function in ASP. the other alternative is to simply write to the page with a respone.write

you can pursue a modeldialog window if need be but that is a little exstensive for testing purposes. just write to the screen when the records are added A language that doesn't affect the way you think about programming is not worth knowing.
