Triggering Events

If I have set up an event that is basically a trigger to run a suite of reports, is it just in CMC that this can be triggered manually? Is there any way that you can allow users logged into ePortfolio to trigger an event.

I guess you can set up a simple report that triggers the even on completion, but I was wondering if you can simply allow them to set the trigger off.

Yep that should definitely be possible. I can't program to safe my life, but if you check in the Web Developer's guide on the Launchpad, load the ce_sdk.chm and search for "event" you get the commandor call needed. There's a Sample on the same page (top).

As RoughingIT said, yes this is possible, but only with additional coding. There is no way, out-of-the-box, to manually trigger events from ePortfolio.
