We are using Enterprise 9 and have had some success in triggering reports to be sent out dependent on data being updated.
However what I have now is something slightly different. My source table is keyed on a request number which in turn is a parameter in Crystal Reports.
I currently send an email from the aix side with a link to the published report (request number passed as a parameter) when the data has finished updating.
What I'd like to do is actually send the physical report itself. Obviously I could just send a trigger file and have the report scheduled waiting for this event, but how do I get the parameter into that?
Not even sure if it is possible, but would be a very clean and simple way for me to provide a hard copy, rather than have the user go into the report and generate the export file themselves.
Hope someone has some clever ideas, thanks.
