I have an ASUS 530w smartphone with Windows Mobile 6 Standard and trying to trigger a VPN connection via IPSEC to a Smoothwall VPN server. I have entered the VPN details and setup the work URL exceptions but when i try and trigger the connection either via Internet Explorer or via Active Sync connection, nothing happens. It appears to contact the internet and seach for the address 10.10.10.5, rather than recognising it as a Intranet address and launching the VPN connection. Given it is a smartphone, i am unable to select the VPN setup and start the connection manually. I am also unable to get to the "Programs that automatically connect to a private network should connect using..." setting. Doesn't appear to exist. Any other users had this problem or any ideas?? I have other devices connecting OK.
