I'm using Goldmine 5.7 and Heat 6.4 and am writing a trigger to write a History entry when a ticket is closed in HEAT. However when i save the ticket and close it it creates a duplicate entry in History and if i just close the ticket without saving it's fine i.e it creates only a single entry in History in Goldmine.
I'm using an Insert, Update tirgger.
How could i stop this from happeneing. Is this something on the HEAT side or from SQL trigger side.

I suspect its because your manually setting it to Closed and then saving then closing. So essentially the trigger would be working as designed :S

Why not remove the ability for the end users to set it to Closed? ie so they must use the Closed option.
