My File system is mounted on one directory (say DIR1)and that contains some files. If I will unmount that FS and mount with another directory (say DIR2) then,

1) Can I mount with DIR2 ? If yes then can I write in DIR2?

2) After writing in DIR2, then Can I unmount DIR2 and mount DIR1 ?
3) AFter that will I get DIR1's data?

Please helppp !!!

Yes, you can unmount /DIR1 and then mount /DIR2 on the DIR1 mount point [I think this is what you are asking].

You can then modify the contents of /DIR2 without affecting anything that was in /DIR1

When you umount /DIR2 and mount /DIR1 on the original mount point it should be as it was before you started.

I hope this helps.
