Hi.

I need someway to seperate the function of DND. I an employee puts him/her self in DND I have set up i call rerouting 1:a alt to forward al calls to the main answering point at the office. this now works with external and internal calls (with Re 8 i guess) but when he or she is in the office and speaks in their phone I would like the people that answer on the main number to be able to que callers to the extenstion that is on the phone. This do not work using DND button.

how can I solv this?

Regards U

To queue callers to an extension?

How about this. Build a hunt group using the prime key appearance (it can no longer be the prime if it is the pilot for the HG) so renumber it to something like 016666 for example. Make the pilot number 6666 (or whatever the prime originally was)

Next add some single line RING key appearances to the phone. Make them sequentially numbered, ie, 026666, 036666, 046666, etc.

Now add these key appearances as members of the 6666 hunt group.

Also give him a CDE Speedcall button that places the HG into DND mode. Give him one more CDE speedcall button to cancel DND of the HG.

Anytime the HG is in DND calls should reroute as defined in the appropriate call reroute form. When the HG is not in DND then successive calls will automatically queue to the pilot number. As soon as the user hangs up from one call the next in queue will begin ringing.

Would that work?

I always use huntgroups to prevent/override busy forwarding.

As for a number scheme, I've recently adopted using * as the second character. For example 1234 Hunt group 1*1234.

Works like a charm and never conflicts with other numbers.

Full credit for this solution belongs to Paterson who unfortunately has moved on to M1 (boo hiss)
