trial version of Visual C++

Hello everyone,

Is there a trial version of Visual C++ like for Borland's C++ builder? I'm finding I'm not crazy about the Borland product and wonder if Visual C++ is better (especially the editor).

Thanks for the link. I see that this is Visual Studio .NET, is it the same as the Visual C++? I'm not doing any web stuff.

I haven't tried it, I'm using Visual Studio 6.0, so I don't know if that trial version has C++, VB, C#...
Visual Studio .NET is basically just Visual Studio 7.0.

Yes - you can get the beta on disk for £3 or download it. The download is pretty big (in the 100s of Mb). It is actually VS 8.0 or Visual Studio .net 2005.
