Any idea which table(s) would give me a trial balance by period ?

Is there a way to merge the results in Crystal reports like say account code 10001 to 10050 should be shown as Fixed Assets...

In 5.3 and before, use GLAMF.ACCTGRPID:

1 - Current assets
2 - Fixed assets
3 - Other assets
4 - Accumulated depreciation
5 - Current liabilities
6 - Long term liabilities
7 - Shareholders' equity
8 - Revenue
9 - Cost of sales
10 - Opening inventory
11 - Purchases
12 - Closing inventory
13 - Cost and expenses
14 - Other income and expenses
15 - Provision for income taxes
16 - Other

In 5.4 and after, join to GLAMF to GLACGRP.

Good laf at my expense!

Anyway I'm having problem with financial reporter. The guys who installed accpac can't make it working neither can I on the local machine that I have installed. Any help in that area would be appreciated.

When I try a report I just get zeros for the values. Don't know where to start problem-solving

Gee, setting up FR is usually a piece of cake as long as you turn down the Excel macro security. What errors are you getting?

And are you getting zeroes on the financial report, or your own report?

Let's start with some basics:

Which version of Accpac, GL and Excel are you on?
Which Accpac service packs are installed?

When I turned down the macro security, the reporting worked beautifully well. Thanks a lot.
