Just a heads up on the End of Life of v 8 of Trend Officescan. The product goes end of life on the 31st December 2011 and after that there are no virus signature updates or support
Now here is the big thing, over 20% of Trends customers are yet to update their hosts and clients - Most customers are not aware that the 8.0 clients will not update from a later host after this date - oouch!

PS. You can puchase extended support for $250K - yeah right.

So, they didn't engineer a big fat warning or pop up to let people know this?? That's kind of dumb AND misses a great chance to tell people "upgrade to the new version for only $79.99" or whatever. You know propaganda, fear marketing (mongering), upsell opportunity.
