Hello,
I will have a HP 9040. I have to print a jobin duplex mode and with different A4 paper.
A print job will print lots of documents. A document print its first page from the first tray (a page witha color logo), and all other page a A4 blank pages.
I thought to do this into postscript. but will it more easy to do this with PCL/PJL ?
how would you do this ?

thanks :)

?&l22H is the command to select from tray 4. Use this in place of the page feed command.

That first character should be an esc -- chr$(27) -- not a question mark. I entered a left arrow, which is the graphic for an esc character, but it posted as a question mark.

thank you :)
but what is it ? PCL ? PJL ? I send that command like this directly to the printer and it works ? Can I mixe that with postscript ?

It is PCL, and I doubt you can mix it with PostScript. Just embed the command in the data stream instead of a page feed. BTW, the number (22 in this case) specifies the input tray. And it changes the tray for all future page feeds until another esc &lnnH command is fouind. The numbers are as follows:

0 - feed page and do not change input tray
1 - feed page from main paper source
2 - feed page from manual input
3 - feed envelope from manual input
4 - feed paper from alternate paper source
5 - feed from optional large paper source
6 - feed envelope from envelope feeder (must have previously specified an envelope as media type)
7 - autoselect
8 - feed paper from tray 1 (right side tray)
20-39 feed paper from high capacity tray 2-21, respectively

This list is from an old booklet, there may be more options now.
