Transtalk for Merlin Legend

I am looking a buying a Transtalk 9031 on eBay. In speaking with a previous buyer of one from specifit vendor, it turns out the phone being sold is a DCP9031 and he was told it only works on a Definity system. Is that true for DCP9031.

I am also looking at an older MDW 9000. Will that work on my Legend R7 14.2? I The cards I have in the system are 408 MLX and 012 w/ring. Will I need a differeent card for the Transtalk?

Yes, Yes, and Yes.
1. The 9031DCP will only work off of a 4 wire digital card on a Definity.

2. Yes, the MDW 9000 will work on the legend.

3. Yes, you need a different card. You need either a 008 or 408 ATL or a 016 ETR card for the transtalks to work on your legend.

If You get the MDW9000, You will need a 016ETR card. You could also use a 008ATL/408ATL card, but if You upgrade To Magix, then You will not be able to use the ATL cards, and would need the 016 ETR.

The 9031DCP will only work on definity, as it uses 4 wires ( 1-3 & 6 ), MLX uses 4/6 wires ( 3-6 , and 7-8 for 48V on 20L, or any MLX w/DSS )
