Quick question, I haven't installed a 9040 in a long time. I have a client who wants to buy (2) 9040's with 1 antenna (on a Magix). He then wants to program a coverage button for his 4412D onto both the 9040's. He has (2) buildings and wants to keep (1) 9040 in the main building and another in the other building. That way, calls transferred to his desk phone will ring to both 9040's and he can answer on the corresponding 9040 depending upon which building he is in. The antenna will be located in the main building and we have verified the signal will be strong enough to run the second 9040 in the other building.

The question is: I can put a coverage button on both 9040's for the desk set, right? I know that a digital extension can be covered by 8 other phones, but I just want to make sure there isn't any restriction with coverage buttons on the 9040.

Anyone who has dealt with 9040's recently and can verify this situation will indeed work would be appreciated. Thanks.

Never mind, I found a manual for the 9040 and it all started coming back to me. Those phones were pretty good. I remember them having an occasional issue getting unregistered from the base unit, but they had such better range/capabilities than the 3810/3910/3920. Too bad they discontinued them.
