I have a letter that i want to cover with a box, The letter is blue and the box is yellow so when i put it over the lette ri want it to be green like a transparent box, how can i accomplish this? Im using Illustrator CS2 in a PC

...depends on the shade of blue you have and the shade of yellow as one will affect the other with transparency used...

...you could potentially use overlay, soft light or multiply on the yellow box...

...have you tried simply placing the letter in front of the yellow box and color the letter green?

Andrew

thanks for the rplies but i wanted to have half of the lette rin the box half outsied and i dont feel like splitting the letter down so i wanted to know if theres an automatic way to doing a transparency.
