Hi Gents,

A client of mine has deployed ms sharepoint across their network which they have standardised on.

They are now considering installing web caches at each branch - probably transparent web caches -

Although i have fair experience with installing and advising on caching solutions i have no experience on how these affect sharepoint and how they would ultimately optimise document delivery across HTTP. I have seen excellent results in terms of bandwidth savings in corporates that have heavy Intranet site usage and assume there must be benefit from sharepoint caching as this runs over HTTP but perhaps the security features make this null and void?

Is it worth while caching sharepoint and if so can someone recommend a configuration that will achieve the best results ? Are there sharepoint server side configurations to be considered?

Many Thanks,

BrettMan.
