Hi,
I'm using Photoshop 5.

I have a question...

I have a picture that I’m making transparent in photoshop. It’s a circle with multiple layers. I just want to bring that circle picture into DreamWeaver 2.
Now, when I make the circle (image) transparent and then bring it up in DreamWeaver 2 all of the edges of the circle are covered with white speckles. I can’t get rid of the edging, its got all these white pixels along the image. Those pixels are not part of my original image.

Regardless if my image is a .GIF or a .JPEG I’m still getting the same problems.

Note: I make my images in Adobe Illustrator -> save it as an .AIFF file -> bring it in to Photoshop -> Save it as a .JPEG or .GIF. – Call it up in DreamWeaver 2.

If anyone can help I’d really appreciate it!
Thanks,
Jenny

if you make a transparent image, only thing you can do is to make the picture under gif format, and then go to : file > export > gift 89A

to change the current picture to gif format, you go to: image > color > indexed color

if your picture is jpg or psd format, it's checked in RGB color

when you come to indexed color, you can reduce the number of colors in the picture such that the appearance of the picture does not change much.

remember, you should choose the background color different from the colors in the picture, since when you export the picture, you are supposed to mark which color will be transparent

hope this help
cheers,

if you still get the unwanted pixels after following what mdktindia said try creating the image with the same background image/colour as your site. This will remove the need for a transparent image.
