Ok I made this new sid and I am haveing a little trouble with it...when i made it I didn't give it a backround color thinking it would just blend in with any background color it is put infront of....well i was wrong here is the sig, as I said i wanted it to be so that the white wasn't there...

Also do you know of any good places where I can host a larger size for free?

Please and thankyou

Why dont you just re-make it?
You could select by colour and select white and then cut it but the edges wont be perfect. It will only work on light coloured backgrounds if you do that.

You should be able to cut this aout, cleanly, in leass than 5 minutes.
Use the pen tool or the lasso tool.
Since it's all straight lines I would suggest the lasso is easiest.
Click on the first corner, hold down the mouse button and then hold down the alt/option key. By holding the option key and clicking each corner around the perimeter, you can aesily make a selection.
Then command/J will cut this to a new layer.
I use a Mac - pc commands may be different.
There is a simpler solution which could work.
In the layers palette, double click on the image layer. A "Layer Style" window will open up. At the bottom there are 2 slider bars.
On the top one (called 'This Layer') move the right-hand slider to the left.
Hey presto the white around the image disappears !

If you don't have the PSD and want to chop out white, just use the magic wand with a tolerance of abaout 10. Next adjust the selection by Expand by 1px. Then Delete.

Remember that you'll have to save as a GIF or PNG, with transparency. JPG's do not support transparency.

Thanks Trojan

Can't exaggerate ... took all of about 30 seconds - wand / click background / delete / save as gif

Kind Regards

I know the principles! I've done it many times myself.
