Hi,

I'm new to After Effects and to the Trapcode Particular plug-in, I've created a flame .avi but when I try to import it into a new composition the flame movie has a black background, I just want the flame and nothing else because I need to put the flame on top of an image, so that black background in the flame movie cannot be there because it cuts part of the image. How do I fix this?

Thanks for your help.

If you render your movie as an .avi you've now made those flames into a movie so it takes the black as its backround, what you should try is to import your movie into the same project window as the flames, make sure that on the timeline the VIDEO is under the FLAMES making the video the flames backround.
