Ok, I recently posted a question about having difficulty with transparent backgrounds - I did get that one fixed.

Now I am having difficulty again! I have a path - I have placed text on that graph. I have done nothing fancy to it. I want to place it into pagemaker but I want it transparent. I have saved as ai, tiff, psd and eps. I have copied into photoshop and saved as psd, tiff, eps and used the transparent background wizard.Nothing is working!!!

I have done this many times in the past and it has always worked well. What am I doing wrong? Could my preferences have gotten messed up? If so how to correct? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Hi,

Files placed in Pagemaker don't get included, Pagemaker uses a placeholder to make it possible to change the placement and so on.
What you can do is: save the illustrator file in eps and rotate it 0,1 degree in Pagemaker. Now the transparency will occur in Pagemaker.

Just a little flaw in pagemaker.
hope this helps

WOW! Many thanks!!! Yep - it worked. And I thought I knew pagemaker. Thanks so much. Hopefully I'll remember this - actually I'm going to print it out and put it in my pagemaker binder with all my other tips! Thanks again!
