I just read a post about importing gif files to retain the transparent background, and I was wondering if there is any other way I can do this, because my images lose a lot of their colours when I save them as *.gifs.... but I still want a transparent background.
At the moment I am importing as a *.jpg, breaking the image apart, and deleting the background with the magic wand manually, but this doesn't work cleanly, hopefully someone has a suggestion!

Thanks,

.png files save transparency as well..to me is the best way to import..watch for file sizes though!

Yea, png is the way to go...png is a vector based image format I was told on the posts...(correct me if I'm wrong someone)...and it should keep all colors.

You might have to break the image apart when you import it from your library though...I was having trouble with png objects once...=( Let us know how it went.
