Currently users are running windows 2000 and Groupwise 5.5. Current SP and everything. The groupwise client is currently being run from the network. When we try to load the client to the local PC the attachments box becomes transparent. I have tried replacing the dll recomended in the Novell Knowledgebase to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Dartanien,

We ran into that problem a couple years ago when we were still running the 5.5 client. We never did figure out what caused the problem, but we were able to fix it by uninstalling the client and then running the Novell Registry Editor (NRE) to clean all traces of GroupWise off the computer. After this, we reinstalled the client and it worked fine.

I couldn't find the NRE on Novell's website. It appears to have been replaced by the GroupWise Cleaning Agent. You can download it here:
Hope this helps,
-Ron

That's the thing though we've tried uninstalling it and using the Cleaning Agent. Still to no avail.

We had this problem a few years back on Dell machines specifically, if you change the version of mfc42.dll file that fixed it for us.
