TRANSPARENT ASCII PROTOCOL 1

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but i was recently asked if my pbx (definty g3)supports "transparent ASCII protocol" i am not familiar with this term! can anyone tell me what this is and where i can find out more about it?

it describes the PMS parameters in the "change system-parameters hospitality" screens

Almost, all the AVAYA system comes with the HOSPITALITY BASIC , and The Hospitality ENhanced features
