Transparency

I am trying to change the transparency of a logo to go over a color on a web page. I am trying to do a GIF89a Export but the word "Export" isn't highlighted after selecting the logo. What's the problem? Is it another glitch in 5.0 like the absence of the Web Safe Color Chart? Boo-hoo!

Is gi98 export an option with 5.0? I thought it was only available with 5.5. I could be wrong, that has been know to happen before .

Anyway, under Image>Mode, select Indexed to make a transparent Gif... then File>Export>Gif98a... and then you selct the transparent colours. In PS60, it is even easier to convert to gif. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

I found it on 4.0...my 5.0 seems to be broken in some ways. Things aren't highlighting when they should. Something must have zapped it.

If you want the logo on a solid colour just use that colour as your background for you logo then save it as whatever you want.

I almost never export to gif89a, it's a hassle and the effect isn't that great.
