hi,

I have created a flash text with a mouse-over colour change.
I am positioning this in a table cell which has a background image - how can I make this have a transparent background (at the moment it is white)?

or is there a way of doing it without flash?
I have created two gifs in photoshop with the two text colours, but dont know how to implement it.

Ya, this can be done very easily through the Dreamweaver interface:
Insert > Interactive Images > Rollover Image

Dreamweaver does all the rest for you, after you go through the quick wizard.

Good luck :)

Take Care,
Mike

If you still want to use flash then the easiest way is to convert the vector text created in flash to a graphic (using F8) then the newly created graphic can have an alpha transparency applied to it using the option in the properties bar. The new graphic will reside in the Library and can be dragged and dropped to where-ever you require it.

Do you have a background image already in the flash?

Hope this helps

Kris
