i export my indesign file as a pdf file and the following message occurs:

the documents transparancy blend does nto match the destination color space in the export adobe pdf settings

after creating the pdf file and opening it, the opacity settings all have changed back. how do i create a pdf file while keeping the transparencies?

thanks

Transparency color space is either rgb or cmyk. It's on the edit menu in Indesign.

When exporting to pdf go to the Advanced tab on the Export pdf window and make sure that the color matches what you set in Indesign. Selecting "leave unchanged" should usually work.

If you select the Screen preset, the output will be RGB which could conflict with a cmyk blend space set in Indesign. If you select the Print preset, the output will be Leave Unchanged. If you select Press, the color will be cmyk. The foregoing are the default pdf export settings. You can always make another preset by setting things up as you want and savign that preset.
