Translation Pattern " Inbound Digit Manipulation "

Hey Everybody ,

I would like know how to translate all incoming call on 842000 to 2987135. The setup as the following

1. I have Voice Gateway 2821 with E1 interface
2. 500 DID ( 2987000 to 2987499 ) are mapped on the E1 line from the exchange
3. The exchange pointing 842000 to first DID (2987000)then it will hunt 2987001 ---to-- 2987499.

what i would like to do , it to map all incoming calls on 842000 to ring on 2987135 instead of 2987000.

It would be appreciated to feed me back with the optimum solution.

You can create a Translation Pattern to do as you want and then place it in a Parition only reachable from the Gateways Calling Search Space but not from a phone CSS that could possibly want to dial 2987000.

Do you only need to translate one number, of all your 500 DID's?

If only one or a few numbers: Make a translation of the external number(s) (partition matches the partition of the incomming route-patern). Translate this to the internal number, CSS must contain internal-numbers-partition.

If all your 500 DIS's: I can't think of an easy solution, accept trying to change your dialplan and match external last 3 digits to the last 30-digits of the internal number.
Otherwise it will be very hard to administrate and confusing for your customers and collegues.

Gateway_CSS contains Phones_PT, Vmail_PT, Xlate_PT
Phones_CSS contains Phones_PT, VMail_PT, plus any PT's that have Route Patterns for calling out.
Create a Translation Pattern of 842000 and put a Called Party Transformation of 2987135. Give the Translation Pattern a CSS that contains the Phones_PT.
I don't have a system in front of me to give any more specific example but this should be close.
A lot of people think the Gateway_CSS affects outgoing calling but it is incoming calling only so you can restrict what an incoming call can get to.

I would like to clarify something , i want to translate from PSTN to my my network not from local to PSTN.

so i want any one dial 842000 to be translated to 2987135.

The example above is to translate from PSTN to Internal. One correction in my example, put 2987000 as the Translation Pattern number, not 842000.
Someone from outside dials 842000, the PRI provider sends you the digits 2987000, the Translation pattern converts 2987000 to 2987135.
